I want to express my love for Zara, the queen of shops for simple, clean shapes in funky fabrics. Once I’ve raced through reading ELLE magazine, drooling over the Jil Sander new season looks, I head straight to Zara to get the tailoring I need for my tall but broad figure.

Here is my pick of what I’m spending this month’s pay packet on and each item is under £30.

1. A white shirt

A crisp white shirt is the item I am adding to my wardrobe to take me into spring and this one will look great teamed with denim or patterned trousers. This Zara number will be good for the willowy ladies but will also be perfect for those of us with slightly bigger busts (me and Bethan included) as the deep V can help avoid any shelf looking racks.

2. Tribal skirt

Tribal is all over the highstreet at the moment and this skirt from Zara is the right side of crazy print. Plus it will look good with black opaques as well as bare legs so can be kept at the front of my wardrobe throughout the summer.

3. Stripy Sneakers

I’m not much of a trainer girl but these zebra print trainers will look really good with my indigo denim jeans and I will probably team with the aforementioned white shirt for a more casual look. Also as I don’t have the most daintiest of feet (size 7) the horizontal stripe should stop them looking long!
