Inspired by Isabella

3 Jan

On 30th December, Kate and I went on one of our little fashion outings to see the Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore! exhibition at Somerset House.

It was really great. There’s not much about Isabella’s life, but lots about the fashion she loved. From Philip Treacy hats to brightly coloured Manolos, there’s lots to enjoy. I particularly liked all the Alexander McQueen collections on display, from his MA graduate collection of lace and lilac, to the crazy heels, tartan and embellishment of his later collections.

So in that spirit, and seeing as the 90s and 00s have been making a bit of a fashion comeback, here’s some high street pieces I’ve found that reminded me of this exhibition

Lace top, £40, River Island at Asos

Dress, £75, Topshop

Skirt, £17, reduced from £55, Miss Selfridge (but get in quick as there are only a couple of sizes left!)

The exhibition’s only on til March, so get in while you can!
