Spring 2015 catwalk inspiration

14 Jan

Yes, it’s blowing a gale outside, and it’s too cold to go out without boots, gloves and a scarf, but that doesn’t mean I’m not thinking about spring. I’ve decided to get a headstart on looking for key pieces inspired by my favourite catwalk looks.

First up is Victoria Beckham’s power florals, and the return of the white denim jacket (loving the 90s reference, VB). This denim-jacket-worn-as-top seems to be a popular new styling move, so you’re looking for a fitted shape here.

And I seriously need these shoes (or a much cheaper version!)

How about these?

Shame they don’t come in the same amazing floral print, but you can’t have everything on a budget!

This Acne jacket’s been reduced to more than half price…

Next up is Tommy Hilfiger’s 70s-inspired star-fest. Feast your eyes…

These trousers are a good nod to the trend…

£10, Asos (only a couple of sizes left in the sale – be quick!)

But I think this See by Chloe dress really nails it…

My final s/s 15 favourite is the return of the flare – woohoo!

Here’s a great example from Coach…

I like the fact this doesn’t take the 70s theme to the max – it’s an easy everyday look. Just invest in some cool flares, add a cool t-shirt and tan bag and you’ve got it nailed.

I’ve already bought MiH’s Marrakesh flares in a nice velvety fabric…

You can get them here, reduced to £52.20

And I’ve got my eye on these Etre Cecile t-shirts to complete the Coach look…

And there you have my top three spring looks. Now if someone could just do something about the weather…
