New bag styles: rucksack vs bucket

29 Mar

I think the time has come for a new handbag, yay! I’m normally more of a shoe girl than a bag girl, but there are so many fun new shapes available, in lovely fabrics, and they’re really making me want a piece.

I’ve narrowed it down to the two most ‘now’ styles: the rucksack and the bucket (drawstring) bag.

I can see the benefits of the rucksack – great for my commute, and now looking much less practical and much more ‘fashion’ in finishes like leather and Aztec prints. The bucket, I think, is less practical (how are you supposed to carry it?!), yet I find myself strangely drawn to it.

Here are the contenders…

Excuse to shop: discounts at H&M and Office

25 Mar

Firstly, a quick apology for the lack of posts recently – I’ve moved house and the weeks have been spent packing, then unpacking, and then waiting for the internet to be set up. But we’re up and running and I’m back!

What with all the house shopping I’ve been doing, combined with the fact it’s not close enough to payday for my liking, there’s not been much spare cash for clothes splurging this month. Thankfully Grazia and Glamour have come to my rescue, offering 25% off Office and H&M respectively. Both of these offers expire next week, so I’d better get cracking if I want to take advantage of them.

So what shall I buy? Here’s what I’ve got my eye on…

8911412264990

Extravaganza loafer in nude patent leather. They’re £65, so down to £48.75 with the discount.

I also like these…

Tick Tock nude patent leather, down from £62 to £46.50 (bit of a nude brogues theme here, I think I know what my shoe wardrobe is missing!)

The 25% off discount only applies to full-price Office-only stock, but I’ve also seen these on the website, in the sale section, and I might have to make an exception and pay the full asking price. But which colour?

Clarks Originals Juno Lo lace up, down to just £35. It’d be rude not to!
